How can you help israel?

The barbaric terror attack on our brothers and sisters in Israel on what was supposed to be the most joyous day on the Jewish calendar, is nothing short of heart wrenching.

We all know people in Israel and some of us even know some of the people that have been murdered or kidnapped. Every Jew’s heart is in Israel today, as an attack on one Jew is an attack on every single Jewish person around the world. It doesn’t matter where you stand politically or even religiously, we are one family and we cannot remain silent as our brothers and sisters are suffering.

As we continue to pray for the safety of the citizens of Israel, and for the IDF to be able to fulfill its mandate to protect the Holy Land and to successfully rescue the hostages, we also encourage you to proactively do all you can for the sake of the spiritual protection of our brethren.

Living thousands of miles away we may feel that all we can do is watch the news and hope for the best, but as Jews we know that spirituality transcends all limitations, including geography.

Please take a moment to recite a chapter of Tehillim, make a contribution to tzedakah, put on tefillin, pledge to light Shabbat candles, or do any mitzvah for their sake. It doesn’t matter how much or how little you do, every mitzvah accumulates to make a world of difference.

Jewish unity is the unmatched tool that our haters will never be able to take from us. They want to destroy us, so we must show them and the world that Am Yisrael Chai — the Jewish nation is alive and will continue to live on. Dispersed as we may be, we are one nation and that will never change.

And finally, if anyone wants to talk or even to just cry together, I am here for you.

With prayers for the ultimate peace with the coming of Moshiach,

 Warmly,

Rabbi Mendel & Nechama Danow

Directors of Chabad of Pensacola

Give Charity

Charity has an amazing spiritual power, the Talmud says that it saves from death. You can also help our brothers and sisters by donating for their immediate needs.

Say a Prayer

Your prayers matter!

The book of psalms has a great impact up on high. Take a moment to read a psalm for Israel

Light Shabbat Candles

The candles of Shabbat have great spiritual strength, by lighting a candle on Friday afternoon before the onset of Shabbat you will produce more light in the world that will help Israel.

Lay Tefillin

On the eve of the Six-Day War in 1967, when the entire world predicted Israel’s demise, the Rebbe initiated the tefillin campaign and assured us that great miracles are in store.

He quoted the divine promise that in the merit of the mitzvah of tefillin, “all the nations of the world will see that the name of G-D is called upon you, and they will fear you”.

Jewish men are encouraged to lay Tefillin daily in support of Israel.
